  • Compressor will not “submit” job

Hi there. I am having a problem with compressor, and wondering if someone can help.

I sent a project from Final Cut to Compressor. Compressor opens fine, allows me to add the destination and compression settings fine, and everything seems normal until I go to “submit”. Then, it asks me to save. When I give it a name and hit “submit” within the save menu, it goes right back to the menu before.

No job is started, it just sits there.

    Anyone? Help!

If you open the batch monitor, is there a job being processed?

Actually, yes. I will see what happens when the job that is processing completes. Maybe my windows just got rearranged. Thanks for the heads up.

The best way to see if Compressor, or any other application, is running, is the Activity Monitor.
You may try this to fix Compressor:

You can open the history window in compressor to see the progress as well if you don’t want to open the batch monitor.
