Compressor TC does not match QT
Exporting QT ref movie, bring into Compressor and want to add TC burn.
QT movie starts at 01:00:00:00
Compressor is reading it as 00:59:56:10
Exported a couple different ways. No luck.
1080/23.98 NDF
any thoughts?

little arrows in the Preview window of compressor let you adjust the TC.
But it shouldn’t be doing this in the first place

I thought i was working Richard…. but I was wrong.
My brain is not up to par today. Been on vacation for 5 days!
I’m now doing it in FCP. Can’t seem to get compressor to read my TC correctly.

You can adjust your in and out points in the preview windows. How do you adjust the timecode?

I’ve had that issue lately too. I find when I include chapter markers for DVD studio pro it tends to screw up the Quicktime Timecode track. When I don’t include markers it tends to be fine.

Argh, that didn’t work for me. Still a drift in code.

Have you tried adding the TC Window Burn in FCP? It’s an Effect under “Video”.

that’s what i ended up doing…. but render times are immensely quicker in compressor (working on a feature length project)

Can you take the file you exported, bring it back into FCP and modify its timecode to be correct in the Viewer using the Modify/Timecode command?
Or does FCP read still show the correct timecode and only Compressor gets it wrong?

tried that too John. FCP reads it right…. Compressor reads it wrong.
