Ok, this one has me stumped. I have a slew of HD files (1080p – Animation codec 23.98) that I wanted to downconvert to SD and add black at the top and bottom to create a 4×3 frame.

So in compressor, I create a new video preset, choose uncompressed 10-bit. Put the right sizing info (and addition of the black bars) and all works well… BUT

The converted files freeze! And it’s not a playback issue as I’ve gone through each frame and suddenly there are a massive amount of duplicate frames bunched together which makes the video “freeze”.

I’ve never encountered this before – is this a problem with compressor? Has anyone else had this happen?

Anyone got ideas? It literally only happens when using Compressor to covert these files.
