Compressor standards conversions

Hello all.

trying to do an NTSC->PAL standards conversion with compressor.

All seems to go well with the encode except when I bring the new PAL movie into FCP.

I have a multiformat monitor to watch my results

the frame rate on the newly created movie is 29.97 (not 25) in FCP. When opening the movie in quicktime the movie frame rate is 25. All of my settings in compressor point to 25 fps (using the advanced conversion option to DV PAL). For some reason once I import the movie, the frame rate changes to 29.97 and i get a red bar in my pal timeline. How is this possible?

Anyone have experience with this?
