  • Compressor: QuickTime -120 Error ???

I am trying to encode a FCP Project via Compressor that is Sony XDCAM720P30 using a Vimeo preset that I use almost daily with no issues and am getting an error in Compressor I have never seen before: “QuickTime Error -120”

I am however able to export directly from FCP via File>Export>QuickTime Conversion and just match the settings. This is concerning though because of my lack of being able to batch export multiple Sequences at once via Compressor at the moment.

    Any suggestions?

Use the batfh Export function and then bring those reference movies in to compressor. Select the sequences in your browser, right click and choose ‘batch export’. Click on the settings tab and choose your options there. You will want to set the destination, turn off make self contained, add the file type extension, and you should be good to go. Once it’s done, bring those moveis in to compressor and apply your vimeo setting.
