June 4, 2013 at 8:27 pmGreat. So I dig out my Snow Leopard, look for rosetta installer, install it on the lion with a custom install, then install FCS2, right? Sorry. Getting older by the minute. :}

June 9, 2013 at 6:56 pmGuess I’m trying to beat a dead horse on this but still can’t get it to work. Exporting project from fcp to compressor I get the ‘you don’t have permission to write to disk’ error. Exporting as quicktime the file has no extension (.mov) in the finder. But it does when I view the ‘save as’ box. I’m trying to make a DVD. So when I try to import the quicktime into DVDSP I get ‘not acceptable format’ error. Went to digital rebellion and downloaded their compressor repair. Still having problems. Did a complete re-install of FCS also. I sent a similar message to DR but am going nutz trying to figure this out. Thanks.

June 11, 2013 at 5:18 pmHere’s an interesting question which may answer why compressor keeps coming up with ‘no read/write’ permissions. I checked my internal drive and discovered that the “admin” name on the drive has changed to “wheel”. Who, or why that happened remains a mystery. The question is, how can I change it back? I fear if I start messing with the + and – on the account information I may screw up the whole drive and lose access. Again, any suggestions? Thanks.
