Has anyone used Compressor 3 and the “Optical Flow” technology for re-timing a shot? For example – creating a true slow-motion shot from a normal speed shot.

I’ve done a couple of quick tests of trying to slow footage down 50%, with all of the frame controls settings on “best”, and so far, all I’ve gotten is some blended frames – far inferior to Avid’s Fluid Motion effect, or Shake’s.

But supposedly, C3 is using Shake’s technology, so maybe I’m just not doing something right. Anyone out there know how to do this properly? Feel like doing a tutorial for the rest of us?
