hey – i can’t believe it’s taken me so long to ask this, but does anyone have any recommended settings for compressor to generate mpeg2 for dvd reasonably quickly with reasonable quality. I realize its a give and take relationship, but basically I am fed up waiting for compressor to do what other compression programs seem to do so much faster with similar settings. The problem I have with other programs is they don’t seem to integrate as well with dvd studio pro. Can someone recomend a workflow using dvd studio pro and another compression program or using compressor that won’t take 3 times the show running time? Is it possible to use constant bitrate in compressor and still create decent looking video?

    Peace be with you.

I only use CBR single pass at 6.2 mbps and AC3 audio. I don’t have any issues with unplayable discs or quality complaints.

    Seems to work for us.

Is that 6.2, the average bit rate or the maximum bit rate? I could assume its the average, but what would you set the high to be?

    Thanks
