  Compressor MPG preset

  Hello. I have to encode a spot for a local TV station as per the specs below. I’m starting with a copy of the transport stream preset in Compressor v3.5.3. As soon as I select HD 1920×1080 as the video format in the Video Format tab, I can no longer select One Pass CBR. If I choose VBR, and set the max at 40Mb/s, then the avg is only 18Mb/s. I’m thinking 4:2:0 refers to the color space but I don’t see controls for that. Nor do I see anywhere to control the audio settings. Any help is much appreciated.

  File Wrapper: MPG
  Video Resolution: 1920 X 1080i 29.97
  Compression Codec: MPEG2 [4:2:0 GOP of 15]
  Bitrate: 35 Mb/s 8 Bit
  Audio: PCM 16, 20, or 24 Bit 48 KHz Sample Rate
  Audio Level: -20 fsd (-20 full scale digital = +4 dbm analog)
