  • Compressor Message “Unable to submit…”

Posted by Grant Strac on March 9, 2009 at 3:06 pm

-I’m running Power PC G5 with 10.5.6 and Final Cut Studio 2 all latest versions and up to date.
I attempted to output a 30 min show, Export using compressor in Final Cut Studio 6.
-Put DVD settings on and click submit. Error Message comes up saying “Unable to submit to queue. Please restart your computer or verify your Compressor instillation is correct.”
-I restarted, shut down, and I KNOW my instillation is correct. Anyone have suggestions? Thank you

    Try reinstalling the Apple Qmaster.

I got this error a few weeks ago and had to reinstall Compressor and QMaster. I had been using Compressor for months with no problems. Not sure why it happens but it did. Follow instructions on uninstalling Compressor and download Pacifist to make the install easier.

Hey I had this problem… Re-installing the pro apps update from the apple website cleared it up without a hitch!

    Mike,

Just had to say THANK YOU for this recommendation to reinstall the application update. My install disks are at my office and so when I just ran into this compressor error I was looking for a “mobile” way to fix it. This solution worked!

    Thank you,
    Simon
