compressor is like, trying to turn me into a vampire…..grr
okay. i have reinstalled tiger. i have a new dual core g5. 2.5 gigs of ram. all permissions restored,before i installed the Os updates, after the os updates, and after i installed fcp suite.
umm, i think the program is working. but it tells me it crashes, then starts to render……………….i really need compressor to work. whats going on? id appreciate some help, thanks everyone.

We use compressor 2.0 quite a bit in our facility. I have noticed that Compressor is unresponsive many times after submitting a new job. The Activity Monitor even says that it is inactive or hung (whatever the term actually is). But Batch Monitor tells me that the compression is going on. And when I am outputting right from a FCP sequence, the frame counter window wil run like normal, too. It takes longer than earlier versions to get done, but it does finish.
