FCP 6.6 on 2.6 MacPro Dual core.
Importing a 22Gb Quicktime movie into Compressor: preset, “Best” 120 minute DVD.

Problem: Compressor fails every time I try to compress this.

This Quicktime movie file plays fine in Quicktime even though some of the footage (EX3) had errors during recording. (Video has areas where it appears pixelated from a card that must have been currupt. Video imported into XDCAM Transfer and FCP just fine and edited without issues.)

    Exported as self-contained Quicktime file.

So I have a .mov file that plays fine in Quicktime yet will not compress.
It’s too large to save to a FAT32 hard drive (for client’s Windows laptop).
Any suggestions on how to get it to client for viewing.

I have (4) .mov files just like this one (with some “bad” video.)

I have tossed preferences, run MacKeeper, run DiskWarrior….not sure what to try next.

I have moved files off to get enough RAM on my main drive for better operation.(166GB avialable on a 1.5TB)?

I am currently reloading FCP Studio out of frustration.

I have started a new FCP project and exported new self-contained Quicktime with same results in Compressor.

I have sent the sequence directly to Compressor and it has failed.
My brain is a bit scrambled so I cannot recall settings.

    Any thoughts???
