Whenever I try to export using compressor from FCP Suite 2 I receive the message: Error: A file of that name already exists. when I look at the log in the Batch Monitor there is a message saying the export failed because “Final Cut generated an error”. I’ve tried renaming projects, renaming sequences, changing the “save to” folder, kicking, screaming and praying but I still have the same issues.

Anyone have a solution? I pay in compliments!

    Thanks,

    Brian

Try exporting a self-contained or reference movie from FCP. Then, drag that into Compressor and go from there. Export Using Compressor doesn’t always work as expected.

Also, try trashing prefs, repairing permissions and run Disk Warrior. If you don’t own it, buy it. It’s an indispensable program.
