Posted by John Lawrence on February 10, 2010 at 7:39 pmI’m exporting sd video via compressor in H.264 streaming and compressor makes .mov-1 which won’t upload. I remember people had this happen couple of years ago but can’t remember solution and can’t find it in Apple forums Can anybody help ? I’d be most grateful

February 10, 2010 at 7:48 pmSounds like you’re exporting to a drive that’s formated as FAT32 rather than Mac Extended, and you’ve hit the 4Gb file size limitation. Is that possible?

February 10, 2010 at 8:06 pmHi David
thanks for replying: I checked in utility and it’s extended alright I’m using the H.264 presets in compressor for a 3 minute video. When I use the iPhone Preset it comes M4V-1! It happened before I just can’t recall how it got sorted: might have been an Apple update perhaps

February 10, 2010 at 9:12 pmThe QT behaves normally: I can
copy it and drag it etc: I remember we tried to delete the -1 last time and it made no difference so it is a difference in the file format . I’ll try again tho, tomorrow now as it is 2100 GMT!

February 11, 2010 at 6:57 pmI checked all the settings they were fine so I chose a new preset: 3GPP
At first while compressing it appeared in Finder as -1. Then as compressor finished the -1 dissolved!!!
I just have to upload to the website now!
Fingers crossed
