    Hello Pros-

I have been searching the ‘net and the Cow for answers to this problem. When I attempt to export an FCP 5 timeline using Compressor 2, I get the message in the subject line. So- what is my “media server application”? Is it Batch Monitor? When I was running 4.5 etc. everything was just fine.

If I am asking an easy question with an obvious answer, pardon me. This about hour 10 into an entire hard drive rebuild and I’m beat.

I sure would like to depend on this app. I don’t see a reason why it wouldn’t work- right now the main harddrive is lean and mean, all repaired and such.

Thanx for your replies, in advance,

    Bee

PS- It doesn’t say it below, but I’m running Tiger 10.4.4. Okay.

I was having the exact same problem and came across this thread https://www.instantboard.com/users/telly/viewtopic.php?t=642&highlight=compressor

I just tossed the .plist for Compressor in the trash, restarted my computer and it worked. Have you tried this yet?

Sorry…this is only a mediocre work around. The problem repeats when I export a new timeline from FinalCutProHD 5.0.4 to Compressor 2.0.1. This is getting old fast.

Is there a setting that needs to be changed? I’m amazed at the lack of info/responses about this. Either we are the only people experiencing this or the solution is so simple that nobody feels the need to embarrass us with a response.

I really miss the old setup (FCP 4.5, etc) for ease of use, though.
