I have a very unusual question. Does anyone know how I can actually prevent the Apple Presets from appearing in compressor. I tried to delete the aliases that link back to the presets in the program but when compressor restarted it just created them again. I am actually looking for the script that created them to comment out that code but have yet to find it. I work in a lab setting where we have some novice users and would like to limit there exposure to just the few most common presets. It is not necessary that they be gone and I would prefer not deleting the presets from within the program even though that would most likely work. Thanks for any advice.

DId you delete just the alias, or the actual folder where they are contained? Try moving the presets out of the resources folder and see what it does. It could break something, though, be careful. If it does, just move them back in.

Also, you can create droplets to make it easy for the newbs.
