OK, so I’m a dumb arse’d FCP 7 user who doesn’t know his arse from his elbow. ( I just want to make pretty videos… ) so here’s the question: I’ve got a time line full of muted audio tracks and blocked out video clips that aren’t in the final mix but are sitting there on my timeline. So, before I send it to compression should I remove/delete all this muted/blocked stuff or does compression – when compressing -simply ignore it? My main reason for not deleting all this unused stuff is that I might want to come back and re-edit, bringing some of this unused stuff back into a new edit. But I obviously also what to keep the final compression down to a minimum, in which case I could remove all the unwanted stuff and save it as a different project… ( I’m rambling now! )
Answers please, and keep it simply.
