Compressing an animation for email
Posted by Jason Stirret on May 8, 2011 at 8:50 pmI have an animation that is around 575MB. How can I compress this to email it? Yahoo will only send up to 25MB. I tried zipping it but its still around 250MB.
Any suggestions?

May 9, 2011 at 8:47 amI dont think you will be able to compress that enough.
*Try drop box or another FTP based file sharing system.
*If you yourself have an FTP you can zip it and place it on your FTP and send the link via email. They will then get prompted if they want to download the file when they click the link.Otherwise you will need to change the codec to qt h.264 but that will change the quality…. depending what you are using now.
Maybe someone else can offer a better answer.

May 9, 2011 at 8:24 pmI am fairly new to this stuff, so I’m trying to figure out what codec I am using now…is that within Cinema? Are you referring to 7-Zip?
