I have an animation that is around 575MB. How can I compress this to email it? Yahoo will only send up to 25MB. I tried zipping it but its still around 250MB.

    Any suggestions?

I dont think you will be able to compress that enough.
*Try drop box or another FTP based file sharing system.
*If you yourself have an FTP you can zip it and place it on your FTP and send the link via email. They will then get prompted if they want to download the file when they click the link.

Otherwise you will need to change the codec to qt h.264 but that will change the quality…. depending what you are using now.

Maybe someone else can offer a better answer.

what codec is it using now? What dimensions is it, does it need to stay at that size?

I am fairly new to this stuff, so I’m trying to figure out what codec I am using now…is that within Cinema? Are you referring to 7-Zip?

are you exporting your animation as a series of images or did you choose one of the animation settings (Render Settings/Save/Format)?
