Compressing 7D Video w/Media Streamclip for Youtube
I rented a 7D for a week and I’m using it to upload content to Youtube. Everything I use is outputting at 30-40mb/s which seems unnecessary and time consuming, especially since the footage will be for online use only. Right now I’m exporting in .mov using Apple Photo Jpeg and anything less than 1280×720 gives me the wrong aspect ratio, so I have a 9 minute clip at 1.8GB. This may be optimal, but if anyone has other suggestions it would be appreciated. Editing in Premiere on Macbook Pro. Thanks..

I’ve used AME for H.264 at 2-3Mbps CBR with great results!

I can vouch for this. I have been using H.264 for youtube and it looks amazing with barely any loss of quality at all.
