Hello, i’ve been battling with my drawing.
Have followed a number of tutorials, but cant seem to figure this one out!

I have uploaded this image: https://s23.postimg.org/l2qrqultn/help.jpg%5D

overall I am trying to lay some line art (over my sketch) and then eventually colourize the objects.

    – First step, I drew a seed (with brush tool).
    – Second step, select all the lines, expand the appearance, unite the path shape, and finally I “release” the compounde path…

This results in an outlining of sorts of my seed drawing, and from here I can easly colourize the whole thing….

But when I try to draw something more advanced, like a blooming flower….the procedure fails…

    need some helpfull advise 😀
    best regards

    Hi Jacob,
Nice looking flowers! I would select your brush strokes then outline them (Object>Path>Outline Stroke)then use the Live Paint Bucket tool for filling in colour.
    Hope that works for you!
