Compound Clips = Sequences
I have never been more excited for a new forum on the COW. Thanks!
I wanted to throw up a topic for discussion regarding Compound clips. It seems, from reading the manual and using the software, that compound clips act like our old friend the sequence, which may be great for longer form projects where I find it helpful to edit scenes or blocks rather than scroll a million years.
What are some other’s thoughts? Have you used it much? Seems pretty elegant to me.

That’s the way I see it, too. They are actually useable Nests finally, and I haven’t had it crash on me yet. I’ve been playing with the timeline by making Compound Clips and moving them to the end of the sequence, adding gaps with the Position tool. This is my way of using the timeline as a working timeline like I do in FCP 7 that stores clips at the end that I want to save for later.
