    can you view two separate comps in a split comp window. that way you can make changes in one comp and see it happen in another.
    did I explain that right?

    Use multiple viewers.

    yes… choose view>new viewer. then drag that viewer tab to the side of the viewer, so it highlights the edge, and release.

    then you can set the two viewers to view any comp in the timeline. you can also choose to lock either of them to a timeline,so they don’t change (click the little lock in the tab for either viewer).

    you can also see multiple timelines by dragging on of the timeline tabs bellow the current timeline (again, so it highlights, then release).
