I’ve created 1920×1080 for theatres and it looked fine.

That being said, call the client and ask who/where this is going to be delivered to and if he can get the exact specs required. That’s your best and easiest option that will save you the most headaches down the road.

As John says, getting exact specifications from the client is a good idea. Rather than asking about the screen, be sure to ask about what the projection system uses/requires.

Here is an article in After Effects Help about how to plan your project with client specifications in mind.

You’ll be making changes in composition settings and output module settings for most of these specifications—and maybe project settings if you decide to use color management to ensure that you’re delivering movies in the right color space.
