***Compositing Newbie Needs Help***
Aloha,
I am new to compositing in AE and I’m trying to learn it in XSI as well. If anyone has time can u examine my project?SET UP = 2 video files
A = Office with Blue screen on TV set – Camera Shooting is moving – Person sitting infront of Blue Screen TV is moving
B = Video footage of surfing needs to be composited into the Blue Screened TV
I am planning on rotoscoping the Image but since the Final Shot is Panning I don’t know the best way to approach this? I figured out how to composite video behind a Green Screen still image in XSI, but now I need to do that with changing Perspective and a panning camera. Any help is MUCH appriciated!!! Thanks A LOT! You can do this pretty easily in After Effects, you need the motion tracker set to the corner pin.
Set the track points to the edges of the frame where you want the surf footage to go and set the tracker going

Hey,
Thanks for your input! Acutally I got a decent track with the four point tracker…only problem is that I’m infront of the monitor when the camera pans across…so it tracks the corners fine until my head cuts off one of the corners! I dunno…mabye I have to manually track those shots?? Thanks again for your help! Aloha!
