I am trying to add some grain to my footage. I have my original footage on V1 and have a QT of grain I rendered out of After Effect on V2. I used a composite mode in the conform page (changing the V2 clip to Multiply). Here is my problem: when I go to render in source mode the grain layer goes away. I can render in target mode, but the TC defaults to 1:00:00:00. I would love to render with the grain superimposed and the original source (V1) time code so that the editor can online easier.

Is there a way to composite the grain layer using nodes instead of in the conform page? I know there is the new composite modes in v8.1 (which I am running).

    Any suggestions would help!!

    Thanks.
