I’m having problems compositing figures, taken in a ‘studio’, on to a ‘sandy’ beach, and giving the visual
look-and-feel that the original shot was ‘on the beach’. The shadow ‘detail’ and how the sand looks does not
give the impression the figures are ‘really standing on sand’.

I’ve tried a couple of ‘shadowing’ methods, but it seems like there’s more needed, perhaps a displacement map with shadowing, etc.

Are there some tutorials on how to composit images with this kind of detail?

    Thanks
