    Hi All,

I’m sure this is stock standard but I can’t remember how to do it.

I’ve got a shot of a guy wearing sunglasses. It’s off a JPEG so you might have to remind me how to add an alpha channel if I need one.

I want to put a bezier mask in his sunglasses and pan into them. At the moment inside his sunglasses is extremely dark and so is a lot of the shot – so I have to use the bezier not a chroma or grayscale mask but I can’t get it to work.

From when I fade it in, I want the track beneath to show through his sunnies.

I’m trying all kinds of things with parents and children but finding:

    a) They block the tracks beneath when I only want the mask to apply to the child AND
    b) What I can get to show through comes out dark.

    Tips very welcome…

    Thanks!

Since the shot is a still image, open it in your favourite paint program and color the lenses a solid bright green, red or blue.
Bring that into Vegas and chromakey the lenses out.

or, just turn it into a PNG and delete the glasses.
