compatibility FCP HD4.5 to FCP 7
We’re upgrading our FCP suite at last! To a spanking FCP 7. Yay!
However, I have work in progress on my FCP 4.5.
Will the files be compatible? or will I have to complete the project on my old one?Iain MacKinnon

When you open your project in FCP 7, the project file will be converted. You will NOT be able to reopen the project in the older version of FCP.

You may find a few audio issues, such as files that are panned improperly, because of one of the Quicktime updates somewhere along the line that that changed something under the hood. But it’s not a deal breaker.
