  • Comp Size + Camera – Help!

I’m currently doing a project on kinetic typography, so i’ve had to design my work using a canvas size of 8192×4608 on photoshop.

My final composition has to be rendered in DV/1 PAL Widescreen (1024×576). I’m looking to get a camera to pan around my huge canvas at that size, yet I have no idea how to do this.

I only started using AE a fortnight ago so I don’t know the ins and outs of the software.

Any help would be much appreciated.

There are probably many ways of doing this.
    here’s the basics..
Create a new comp the size of your final render and the length of your larger comp.
Drop your larger comp into the smaller comp

    Create a new camera
    Create a new null object.
Toggle the 3d switch on your Null object.
Parent the camera to the null.

Move and keyframe the null object around positioning it where you need it…the camera will move with it.
Get real familiar with easy ease’ing keyframes and hold keyframes.
