Combine light streaks with stroke handwriting effect
Interested to know if there is a way to maneuver light streaks (as seen in Video Copilot tutorial #18) so that they form text. I’m aware of a technique to simulate handwriting using a mask and the stroke effect. I was trying to see if by any way I could parent the light generating the streak to a the path created by the stroke effect. Thanks.

3D Stroke from Trapcode/Red Giant allows you to do this, and there is most likely a way to do it without plugins as well. The link went nowhere, so I couldn’t look at your example. Doing the mask and stroke method, combined with a lens flare or glow repeated as a second layer could also do the trick, if I understand what you’re trying to do.
