Combine 2 mono tracks — how to record the mix?
Hello all, hope you can help with this Pr Pro CC sound process (on a Mac).
For better or worse, I created two mono tracks from an original camcorder mono recording that imported into Pr as a stereo pair.
Now I want to equalize, clean up, and sweeten the tracks but it seems to make no sense to apply effects to each mono track separately.
So I want to combine them, and figured to use the mixer in Pr. I’ve studied my books, the Pr Pro reference pdf, gone online, looked at futorials, and learned a lot about the mixer controls: send, effects, automation modes, submix tracks etc.
But I’m stumped on a very simple thing: how do I actually RECORD the mix so I can work with the output as a mono track? There are no Record buttons on either the Submix or Master track in the mixer.
Where does the mix go when you’ve played back the tracks and see them combining in the Master or the Submix?
Or is there another way to approach this?
Many thanks,
