Everytime I close the finder window and reopen it or any other window within OSX, or if I open a window while importing, it always changes from how I resized it. I open columns to a wider appearance but they always seem to change back. How can I make it so they stay the proportion I like?

    Hi Bob,

Not really the solution you were looking for, but you could get the window how you want it, then double click in the gray area at the top to place the window in your dock. When you need it, it would be there just as quick as clicking on your hard drive to open a new window, but would retain you customized column widths like you wanted (did that make sense?).

Also, just a little trick/feature that not too many people know. If you double click on the two little vertical bars that you use to resize the columns, they resize automatically to fit the width of whatever is in that column.

    Tony!
