is it possible to sample an area of an image to create a brush that is loaded with more than one colour value?

To explain better, I want to sample the colour of a background wall complete with all the image noise present, so that i can then paint out foreground garbage. I find the clone tool to be great for small areas but not so good if you dont have a big area to clone from.

I tried changing the colour selection mode to more than a single pixel, but that just averages out the selection.

i’m sure there is a way, i just can’t think what it is!

    thanks
    Adam
