  color space – codecs?

  Hello,

  I am testing the free matrox codecs. after install, the first setting/ question is:

  STANDARD [ YUV 16-235 = RGB 0-255 ]
  or

  EXPANDED [ YUV –255 = RGB 0-255 ]

  also can be checked below.

  __chroma filtering { RGB>YUV }
  __chroma interpolation {YUV> RGB}

  which settings works best for vegas? [I dont think i
  would be worried about broadcast, just disributing
  dvds.] also I guess I would pick 10 bit for best quality. In vegas: editing at 8 bit selected in vegas, then rendering at 32 float, correct?
