    Hi,
I posted this in the After Effects forum but thought I’d check w Avid editors too:
When I render full frame video from AE with the new Avid codecs (DNxHR/DNxHD), the color seems to match fine. However, if I composite a tinted box w some transparency over footage and try to render the box itself (to composite later), with alpha, footage appears darker when imported/composited.
If I render it with the animation codec, it is much brighter, but I still see a shift from the original. (The layer blending mode is Normal, the alpha is being rendered as straight.) The old DNxHD 145 (Rec 709) worked fine for the AVID but now I’m looking for a way to keep the color consistent ( I didn’t even see a 709 option?) for my AVID editors. Any ideas?
    Thanks!
    Jenny

Avid codec used DNxHR/DNxHD; resolution DNxHR HQX 10 bit and also same w DNxHD HQX 10 bit.
