Activity Forums Apple Final Cut Pro Legacy Color Keying

    I am shooting green screen with a Pansonic DVX100a camera. I am using DV garage matte pro to key. If set the Easy Set Up to Uncompressed and capture from a DSR-11 deck, would the footage have better quality and give a cleaner key than DV-NTSC

    Marginally. The issue is that if you shot on DV, then you already acquired the 5:1 compression that DV has. Capturing uncompressed won’t make that go away. But it will help some. Keying, color correction…always better when you capture at a higher resolution. But the weak point still is the DV compression you get right out of the gate.

    Of course if you master back to the DSR-11 you are going to get a DV compression hit again.
