    Hello all,

I have 2 different cameras available to me, and I’m trying to figure out which one would yield a better key from a greenscreen shoot using Keylight in AE. The edit will be done in SD.

    JVC D9: 4:2:2 color sampling, 480i, 50Mb/sec bitrate, ~3.3:1 compression.

JVC HD100: 4:2:0 color sampling, HDV (1280×720) resolution (I would capture through firewire at full res, do the key, then scale down to SD), 30p, 25Mb/sec bitrate, MPEG-2 compression.

So it seems there are pros and cons for each in terms of getting a good key. Thoughts?

Further (and because this is the AE forum), would there be differences between the two in your keying strategy itself? (i.e. deinterlacing, blurring color channels, etc?)

    Thanks.
