Color Grading and Correction VFX in AE or Premiere?
I have a short project where I have done my editing in premiere and my VFX shots in AE. There are about 10 VFX shots which I just copied those specific log shots from premiere and pasted into AE.
What should my workflow be when I want to begin color correcting and grading everything on the same timeline?
Export VFX shots with no grading or color correction > Import into Premiere
If so then which format should I export the vfx shots in order to preserve quality? We shot the footage in 4k raw.

I always like to export my VFX shots and do the grading for the whole edit in whatever program I will use to grade later.
Export in whatever fits your workflow: ProRes, DnXHD. DPX…

Do you match your 3d elements with color correction to its scene before or after you export to your color grading program? Or so you just do all color corrections and grading in your resolve or premiere grading preference?

Dave yep i agree for sure and that makes sense too, but in AE I have several 3d elements being placed in the footgae that need to blend in. So when my footage has been color corrected should i match up the 3d elements with the footage before exporting to color grade?
