Color-Correcting RGB Scanned Picture
Hi All,
I scanned a photo of a portrait in RGB mode (only option my scanner has) and after clipping out the background and pasting the subject into a CMYK document, I noticed that the portrait’s black hair stood out way too much from a graphic silhouette that I created and filled with a color combination of 60-40-40-100.
I want to the subject’s black hair to look like it belongs in the environment. The problem is not with the clip-out job that I did. I think it’s because it came from an RGB document.
The only solution I could think of is to isolate the hair and adjust the Levels or Curves. Is there a better solution for this? I’m pretty proficient in Photoshop CS, but color-correcting is something I need to improve on. Any suggestion is greatly appreciated.
