I have to be doing something ignorant but here’s my problem. I have some 4K (4096 X 2160) video shot SGarmut3Slog3_To_LC-709 XAVC 24P on a Sony FS-7. If the footage is brought into Premiere and put into a 720 24P project and I use Lumetri to color correct the blue sky in the shot I get no color banding in the sky. I do the same thing in After Effects 720 24P, Lumetri with the exact same settings the blue sky has banding all over it. If I render each one out the Premiere footage looks fine but the AE has terrible color banding in the sky.

The only other thing that bothers me that I notice is that when I scale down in Premiere to make the shot fit the sequence I only need to scale to 54% and in AE I need to scale down to 38%. Both are using square pixels.

    Any ideas?

Your AE project is probably set to 8-bit bit depth.

Correct! Why it was changed after the upgrade is beyond me and I totally overlooked it. Thanks!
