  collapse transformations and effects problem

  Hi all

  Can someone please explain to me why i can’t apply effects to a pre composition that has collapse transformations checked on without it limiting the effects i have in it.

  eg : i have a precomp with a masked adjustment layer that applys a magnify effect. This also needs to effect whatever is in the main comp, so i have collapse transformations checked on. Everything works great but I also need to apply a transition effect to that precomp in the main comp. But when i do this it disables the adjustment layer for the main comp .

  don’t know why. Why do i always find these things when i’m under a deadline??
