    Hey Guys,
We’ve been given a detailed model to work with created in Sketch up Pro (exporting collada file). When we import, the model comes in fine (although lots and lots of objects), but the textures don’t link. The et tonly way I could get them relinked is to open each texture, and repoint it to the texture in the tex folder. Any suggestions on what we can do either in SUP or C4d to reduce the model elements, and more importantly, link the textures?

    Thanks,
    Mike

I’ll have a look at the Collada options later, but a quick thing you can do to link the textures is to add the path to the tex folder in your Cinema preferences. Then I would save the file with assets and remove the texture link in preferences so Cinema doesn’t search that path all the time going forward.

Or, if you’re using R15 it has a nice new texture manager that’s a huge help in relinking textures….
