The file is WMV, the one that i’m checking. None of my AVI files are working on SV… But i can always fix that later, im pretty sure it’s because of the codec not working.
Okay, when i change the preview quatilty to full, it stays that way when it’s paused and i click full screen. However when i press play and switch it to full screen it automatically goes to half.
After changing the project properties, width to 800 and height to 450, like the filess width and height. It still isn’t working. It didn’t change anything. Plus before i changed it it did the same thing with the play/pause and preview quality.

This is perfectly normal behaviour from a “feature” that was added in Pro 9.
Vegas can now automatically adjust the video preview size and quality to optimize frame rate during preview.
Right-click the Video Preview window and select Adjust Size and Quality for Optimal Playback if you want to emphasize frame rate during preview. When the command is not selected, video quality is emphasized, and the frame rate will be reduced if necessary. -
Yea, as Mike said, make sure Adjust Size and Quality for Optimal Playback is not checked and your preview will stay at the quality you set it. Now you should have nice high quality “choppy” playback because your PC probably can’t keep up with playing this quality in real-time.

Are there any places like Dave Haynie suggested that i can get it so the AVI H.264 Codec works so that i can edit the video also?

Did you try the x264vfw codec that I suggested several posts back?

Do you have a link…? I mean i don’t want to be demanding or anything, but when i looked it up on google, well let’s just say if you look anything up on google theres going to be more then one site, and i don’t know which ones are trustworthy so…

It’s the first site on Google (sourceforge.net) and if you don’t know what web sites to trust, get the WOT plug-in for your browser.

I believe i downloaded it once before, but it didn’t work, and it’s not working now either.
