Is there a codec that would work well to export footage from a PC in a high-quality yet compressed nature to a FCP system based on AJA hardware? I’ve tested the results of some standard QT codecs (Photo Jpeg, Animation, JPEG 2000), but if there is something that AJA has created that is better for compressed/high-quality export that would be great for the FCP-user I’m delivering to.

    Thanks

PhotoJPEG is probabaly the best Compressed codec wihtout buying anything.

AJA makes a PC uncompressed codec for use on Apple systems.

You can also check out the Sheer codec from bitjazz. You will have to pay for it, but your FCP user will not (the codec reader is free). It is perfect for cross platform, smile file size workflows.
