    Hey guys,

I just got a drive from a client containing footage shot on HD.

First I tried viewing the .mov files using Quicktime (the latest version, Pro). Although I could hear the sound, there was no video… just a white screen. QT prompted a message saying that I don’t have the appropriate codec.

Then I went into FCP (5.0), and same problem of course…

I viewed the info for those .mov files, and the codec appears to be: HDV 720p24, Integer(Big Endian), Timecode.

Where can I find these codecs? Any site I can download them from?

    Thanks so much!

Do you have Final Cut Studio 2 installed? That may be required for HDV 24p codecs.

Hmmm… I certainly don’t have the latest and greatest…. And HDV 24p codec isn’t in there… I checked the Easy Setup.

So there’s no way I can get this codec without upgrading?

I really want to upgrade, but I have a problematic project in progress that I’m really scared to mess up during the upgrade.

    Thanks!
