codec could not be opened fcp

thank you for all your kind and very helpfull suggestions…in the meanwhile i got the editor, to send me another fcp friendly file.

but i’ve had it fixed in another way before a got the new file..

I all my desparation i used one more programme called imtoo dvd ripper. nothing special just a regular conversion programme, but when converting it to .dv it worked, the scale proportions were not perfect. and i eventually used the newly sended file.. but i had an image and sound without the pe codec package

too bad avid and fcp are not very file compatible

“.DV” is a very bad option (not supported in FC, no TC, 32Khz audio and very compressed (DV).
Next time convert to any codec more FC friendly and don’t make any kind of geometry conversion on transcoding.
