I am setting off to foreign shores in a few hours to edit a couple of rush commercials on my laptop!!

The intention is to have the material (Pal Digibeta) digitized on site by the studio (FCP / Kona / etc) then transfered to a portable hdd for me to do the edits from.

I normally work in 10bit uncompressed, but this time i will not be doing that. I intend to use ProRes422 but i’m really not sure which is the one to use standard or HQ.?

As i will leave the final compile to thursday when i return and can re-load direct from digibeta and do the final colour grade and sound mix, the quality is not necesarily an issue, but i also want to play safe and work as high as possible in case i need to use the edit material for the master playout….like i said, this is a very rush job.

    Any advice would be appreciated.
