I watched a good video how how to make my 8 core use 6 or more proccesors using compressor.

My setup seams to be OK, but when I look at the apple q on the top bar, out of the 8 cores listed only the top one is green the rest are grey and gives me the impression they are not ” capturing” any ideas why only my top one is green and the rest grey and looking inactive. If you watch the video at the end you will see the green lights on the cores on his sytem but not on mine,

    Please help,

    regards

    Darren

For the machine to use all cores in compressor, it must be set up as a Compressor QuickCluster, or a “Virtual Cluster”, according to this Apple Support article.

    See your compressor settings.
