I am trying to create a DVD that will need CC, can this be done in Encore? or will I need to create a subtitle track, with the text, and if so how? I am new to encore, so am trying to get my teeth into it.

    thanks

    Subtitles is subtitles
    CC is CC

If you need to create subs – create subs text and be fine 🙂
If you need to create Closed Captions you need to use Sonic Scenarist

I think Lemony or Subtitle Workshop can also create SCC files from scratch- Scenarist is not strictly required.

Otherwise, I agree- closed captions and subtitles, although similar, are two different things.
