I would like to sample an area from one image with the clone tool and paint onto another image using the clone tool. However, as I am paint, I would like to scale the pattern so it is smaller in the destination window with the clone tool. Is this possible in either Photoshop 7 or CS2?

    Hi audrey22,

Yes this should be possible however you will have to reduce (scale) the image you are cloning from to make the patern a reduced size in the destination file. This may take a bit of trial and error or you could create a new layer in the destination file to clone onto and then scale that layer to the desired result.

    Hope this helps
